Minions came to Destiny’s Restaurant in Nowra for the KidZFix fundraising dinner last week, with money raised supporting sick children in the Shoalhaven and Dubbo hospital pediatric units.
This year’s dinner was organised by an enthusiastic group of TAFE NSW Nowra Events and Hospitality students.
The fun Minion theme was included throughout the evening with the planning of centerpieces, decorations, balloons and funky Minion suits worn by the event staff.
Diploma of Event Management student, Chloe Riley really enjoys using her TAFE studies to help plan a live event. “I love learning through real event planning and communicating with clients to find out their event needs. It’s great that the students can come up with ideas together and run them by an actual client. Learning at TAFE is easygoing and relaxed,” said Ms Riley.
The Fundraising dinner for Team Illawarra also included a large silent auction.
Team Illawarra will also be involved in the upcoming KidZFix Rally in a yellow minion rally car (number 54) which is proudly supported by local businesses in the area. They will drive from the Shoalhaven to Dubbo return, between 8 to 16 September raising money for this worthwhile cause.
