Digital Media and Graphic Design

Acquire knowledge and skills in graphic design, web design and publication, animation, visual effects, or short film and video production. Gain employment as a graphic artist, illustrator, animator, visual effects designer, camera/lighting operator, radio producer/presenter, or television producer. Courses are available in: 2D Animation - Introduction; Design (Media); Graphic Design and Communication; Graphic Design Foundation; Interactive Digital Media; Screen and Media; and Screen and Media (Animation 1).

 

Fashion and Design

Develop skills in the areas of design, patternmaking, production, and using technology within the fashion industry. Gain employment as a design assistant, soft furnishing tradesperson, sewing machinist, fashion stylist, or fashion publicist. Courses are available in: Applied Fashion Design and Technology; Clothing Production (Intermediate); Fashion – Headwear for the Races; Fashion and Textiles Merchandising; Fashion Design Industry Practice; Fashion Drawing Using Adobe Illustrator; Fashion on the Field and Cocktail Hats; Millinery; and Soft Furnishings.

 

Fine Arts and Visual Arts

Develop practical, conceptual and theoretical skills in drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, art photo media, digital art, or glass. Gain employment as an artist or produce, sell or market artworks in a gallery, museum or craft centre. Courses are available in: A Portrait in Watercolour with Cherry Hood; Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Cultural Arts; Advanced Visual Arts; Ceramics; Design Fundamentals; Digital Photography – Basic; Fine Arts; Flowers in Oils with Kim Shannon; Photography for Beginners; Photoimaging; Studio Works in Visual Arts; and Visual Arts and Contemporary Craft.

 

Music

Learn how to compose and orchestrate original music, lead music rehearsals and performances, coordinate technical production, test and repair sound equipment, make technical presentations, analyse music videos, or manage the production of sound designs and sound recordings. Gain employment in the music industry as a song writer, soloist and/or member of a group, or behind the scenes in technical production, music promotion or teaching. Courses are available in: Music; and Sound Production.
