Automotive Mechanical Technology – Light Vehicle, Heavy Vehicle and Plant  Equipment

Learn how to service, repair and diagnose faults in motor vehicles, trucks, buses and plant equipment, or to conduct RTA Vehicle Inspections. Gain employment as a light vehicle mechanic specialising in service and repair industry, heavy vehicle motor mechanic in the automotive or agricultural industries, or as an RTA Inspector. A wide range of apprenticeship and traineeship courses are available, as well as Fast Track Training courses in: Automotive Mechanical (Air Conditioning); RTA AUVIS Proprietor; RTA AUVIS Proprietor/Examiner; RTA Examiner - Light Vehicle; RTA Gas Vehicle Examiner; RTA Inspection State Proprietor/Examiner - Light Vehicle and RTA Inspection Station Proprietor/Nominee - Light Vehicle.

 

Automotive Vehicle – Repair and Refinish (Panel Beating and Spray Painting)

Learn how to apply a range of paint finishes, colour match or repair minor and major accident and corrosion damage to motor vehicles. Gain employment as a skilled panel beater, automotive paint shop assistant or vehicle painter by completing a pre-employment, TVET or apprenticeship course in: Automotive Vehicle Body specialising in Paint Preparation, Panel Beating, Panel Preparation or Vehicle Painting; and Freehand Airbrushing Techniques.

Maritime

Develop the practical skills and knowledge required to work in the maritime industry as a Master Class 5, Coxswain, Marine Engine Driver or General Purpose Hand on commercial vessels by completing a Transport and Distribution course specialising in: Coastal Maritime Operations - Coxswain; Coastal Maritime Operations – Master Class 5; Marine Engine Driving – Grade 3; or Maritime Operations.
