Application courses

Some TAFE NSW courses require you to apply before you can enrol. This ensures that everyone who wants to do the course is considered in a fair and consistent way for each Campus.

Here is a step-by-step guide to help you with your application.

Step 1 - Find out if you need to apply

To find out if you need to apply for your preferred course(s) you can:

  • check on the list of Application Courses for Semester 2, 2012 by clicking here
  • ask at your local Campus

Please note: The Certificate IV and Diploma of Community Services Work were incorrectly listed in the printed version of the 2012 Course and Career Guide as being Application courses. They are not Application courses in 2012.

Step 2 - Before you complete the application form

Before you complete the form:

  • be sure to read the information about Applying and Enrolling
  • check the course description to make sure you meet the entry requirements for the course(s) you have selected
  • check with your chosen Campus if there are any special pre-enrolment procedures as you may need to attend an information session, sit for a test, attend an interview or audition, or submit a portfolio to be considered for your course(s).

Step 3 - Download and complete the Application form

To apply, you will need to complete a TAFE NSW Course Application form.  You can also collect an Application form from your local Campus or by calling Course Information on 131 601.

For each Campus and study mode there is a unique Course Application Code. Please also refer to this Amendment Sheet for any changes which may have been made.

Step 4 - Submit your application

Deliver or mail your Application to the Campus of your first preference by the Application closing date. Semester 2, 2012 Course Applications close on Friday, 25 May 2012.

If the Application closing date has already passed, you can still apply and your application will be stamped as a ‘late Application’. Please note: Applications received by the closing date will be given first preference.

What if I change my mind?

If you would like to change your course preferences after you have submitted your application form, you can submit an Application Amendment Form.

This must be received by the Campus where you lodged your original application.

Application results

You will be notified of the result of your application. You will need to be available at that time to accept and pay for your offer. You will also receive information about how to complete your enrolment and pay the TAFE NSW fee and other charges in your offer letter.

Always check with the Campus or phone Course Information on 131 601 for the latest information.
