How do I create a reference list or bibliography for my assignment?
Referencing and bibliographies are important concepts to understand - particularly if you plan to study at university after completing your TAFE course.
Here are some useful tips to help you get started:
- If you'd like help compiling a reference list or bibliography, simply ask your librarian or refer to our Referencing Guide.
- Tertiary Preparation Certificate students should use the TPC Referencing Style Manual.
- TAFE NSW Higher Education students should use the Student’s basic guide to bibliographies and referencing: Harvard Style.
- If you would like online assistance, you can use the Sydney Institute Libraries' Interactive Guide to Bibliographies. This is a simple piece of software designed to provide you with ready-to-use citations for your bibliography.
- The University of Wollongong also has a number of guides to Referencing and Citing Sources
- If you are using the Australia Bureau of Statistics, check out their detailed Guide to Citing ABS Sources.
