Student & Employment Survey Results
TAFE NSW is highly regarded by both employers and students according to research released by the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER).
The recently released 2007 NCVER publication: Survey of employers' use and views of the VET system, has found that satisfaction with the quality of training at TAFE is high with 85% of employers indicating they were satisfied with nationally recognised training provided by TAFE NSW.
TAFE's commitment to providing industry relevant skills has certainly been rewarded though the confidence shown by employers.
In another NCVER report: 2007 Student Outcome Survey for TAFE NSW - Illawarra Institute, it was found that more than 89% of students were satisfied with the overall quality of training provided by Illawarra Institute.
95% of Illawarra Institute graduates would recommend the Illawarra Institute to other people and that more than 94% of graduates either agreed or strongly agreed that teaching staff had a thorough knowledge of the subject content.
In each of these areas the Institute ranked higher than the national average. This result confirms the reputation of Illawarra as the leading provider of vocational education.
