Department of Lands – Certificate III Local Government (Lands Administration)

TAFE NSW - Illawarra Institute has had an ongoing partnership with the Department of Lands since 2005. This partnership began when the Department of Lands approach us to develop a Certificate III in Local Government (Lands Administration). A pilot program was conducted in 2005, which was primarily based on recogition of prior learning. Twenty-two of Lands existing staff participated in the pilot project to have their current skills acknolwedged and recognised.

As a result of this pilot project, the Institute is now developing and customising the learning resources to allow for new and existing workers employed by the Department of Lands across Australia to undertake this training and gain a nationally accredited qualification.
