Joy Mining Machinery

TAFE NSW - Illawarra Institute has had an ongoing partnership with Joy Mining Machinery to provide both customised and accredited training for their staff and industry clients. The types of courses that are being delivered within this partnership include Electrical Equipment for Hazardous Areas, Hydraulics, Danfoss, Non Destructive testing, Crane Operations, Fault Analysis, Rigging, Scaffolding, CPR Low Voltage and Project Management.

Throughout Australia, the Illawarra Institute has delivered nationally accredited training in the area of Equipment for Hazardous Areas Training to approximately 500 employees from organisations including Joy Mining Machinery, Orica, Huntsmen, Qenos, Agility, Citiwater Townsville, United KG, Kestrel Coal and Blue Scope Steel. Training has been delivered to all levels of staff, including Operators, IE Technicians and Senior Engineers.
