By enrolling at TAFE NSW - Illawarra Institute our students show motivation and a desire to learn job ready technical skills, communication, team-working and customer service skills.
To advertise your job vacancy through campus notice boards and classes:
- complete and submit the Job Placement Service form (which is located at the bottom of this page) then send the completed form via email to illa.courseinfo@tafensw.edu.au or via fax to 4229 0626

We can promote your vacancy at your local campus or at all 14 Illawarra Institute campuses.

Job Placement Service Terms and Conditions
All job advertisements submitted to TAFE NSW - Illawarra Institute Job Placement Service must comply with national and state legislation including but not limited to misleading or deceptive advertising, non-discrimination and equal opportunity.
We reserve an absolute right to check and then accept or reject a job vacancy without explanation.
Vacancies will only be accepted on the relevant Job Placement email form or by contacting Course Information.
It is the employer's responsibility to complete all of the required information. Failure to do so may result in the job vacancy not being accepted.
TAFE NSW - Illawarra Institute requires all employers to provide the following information:
- The full name of the organisation or individual advertising the job vacancy.
- The full name of a contact person.
- The address and phone numbers of the organisation, individual or contact person.
- An adequate description of the nature of the work being offered, which relates to a genuine job vacancy.
- An appropriate salary or hourly rate of pay, or name of a relevant award and an indication that the salary is negotiable within the individual award or job classification.
- An Australian Business Number (ABN). The ABN is used to verify that the employer is a registered business. In the event that you do not hold an ABN, written references will be required from two (2) referees. These referees may be contacted to act as a character reference and to verify the vacancy.
Only genuine job vacancies are to be submitted. TAFE NSW - Illawarra Institute will not accept advertisements that are:
- For work involving pay rates that do not comply with the relevant individual award agreement;
- For work involving any activity that is illegal or otherwise considered inappropriate;
- For work that is not a genuine employment opportunity;
- Work in a private home or work paid as commission only;
- Discriminatory.
TAFE NSW - Illawarra Institute does not make recommendations or shortlists or match individuals to vacancies. The vacancy is simply promoted via campus notice boards or through classes.
TAFE NSW - Illawarra Institute reserves the right to withdraw or refuse any advertisement where:
- Non-compliance with these terms and conditions has occurred;
- Misleading or incorrect information has been provided;
- Complaints about the advertiser have been received;
- The job opportunity is considered to be inappropriate.
Liability
TAFE NSW - Illawarra Institute will be under no liability to users and employers in respect of any loss or damage (including consequential loss or damage) which may be suffered or incurred or which may arise directly or indirectly in respect of services supplied by TAFE NSW - Illawarra Institute.
Advertisers agree to indemnify TAFE NSW - Illawarra Institute and its staff against all claims, actions, suits, costs and expenses incurred on any account by TAFE NSW - Illawarra Institute as a result of their advertisement.
TAFE NSW - Illawarra Institute does not act as an agent for the employer.
Employers agree that all information they provide in their advertisement and services do not breach any law or the rights of any person (including national and state legislation regarding Fair Trading, Equal Opportunity and Human Rights).
TAFE NSW - Illawarra Institute is subject to the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (NSW) and will not disclose to anyone else personal information stored without their consent unless authorised or required to do so by law.
Employers submitting job vacancies agree that TAFE NSW - Illawarra Institute can store and use their contact details to communicate with them by phone, mail or email concerning the Job Placement Service or other services offered by TAFE NSW - Illawarra Institute. TAFE NSW - Illawarra Institute will not supply your contact details to third party organisations.
