Computers and Facilities

Student Use Computers
  • All campus libraries provide computers for student use with a standard set of software: Windows XP, Microsoft Office 2003 and Internet Explorer 6.0. For more information on specific software availability or to make a booking, contact your local library.
  • To access the Internet from campus computers, students and staff must use their DET Portal username and password.
  • The conditions of use for library computers and the Internet should be viewed before using the computers for the first time. More information is available in the document: Use of TAFE NSW Internet and Intranet Services.
  • Librarians will assist students and staff with Internet and database research to support their course work and assessments. Classes in searching the Internet effectively are offered during teaching weeks.
  • Library staff are usually able to assist with common software problems.
