You can access our tailor-made online Subject Guides which are designed for TAFE teachers and students. Organised into relevant subject areas, you can access these guides conveniently from your own computer.
What will I find in the subject guides?
In the subject guides, you will find:
- links to resources for loan including books, DVDs and journals
- library catalogue searches for your topics
- online databases with full-text journal articles and video clips
- selected, high quality websites
- research tips and referencing guides.
Training and Tours
Do your students need help finding information? TAFE libraries offer an Information Skills Program designed to help your students gain valuable skills in locating and evaluating information for use in their assignments.

Databases (eResources)
Locating relevant and current information is essential to your students’ success. Ask your librarian to show you how easy it is to search the eResources which will give you access to full-text journals, newspapers, eBooks, encyclopedias and other reference resources.
You will also find subject and industry specific databases such as Australian Standards, National Construction Code, CINAHL Plus (for Nursing) and PlantFile Online.
