The TAFE Illawarra Annual Awards Gala Dinner recognises excellence and outstanding achievements by students and staff.
The 2012 awards function will be held on Thursday, 24 May 2012 and will recognise the outstanding achievements for 2011.
The recipients of TAFE Illawarra Awards will receive:
- a certificate and trophy acknowledging their award
- recognition of their achievement at the Annual Awards Gala Dinner
- a monetary prize.
Faculty Awards will be awarded to outstanding students in the following study/career area categories:
- Arts, Design, Fashion, Media and Music
- Automotive, Transport and Maritime
- Beauty and Hairdressing
- Building and Construction
- Business and Administration
- Communication and Media
- Electrotechnology, Engineering, Manufacturing and Mining
- Environmental, Horticultural, Rural and Animal Studies
- Events, Tourism and Travel
- Hospitality and Cookery
- Human Services (Community and Health)
- Information Communication and Technology (ICT) and Library Services
- Pathways to Work or Study (including English Language courses)
Major Awards will be awarded to students in the following areas:
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year
- Access – Special Achievement Award
- Apprentice of the Year
- TAFE Illawarra Student of the Year
- International Student of the Year
- Trainee of the Year
- Vocational School Student of the Year
